Well thought out, construction is beyond 'clean'! Car looks SO 'solid'...
Especially like 'track attitude', goes straight as a string.

I see you're captured just off to the side in Squirrel's discussion of his Cuda, attending to regular business as a racer...oh and a cameo shot later to boot...you fellas are a force of all things cool.

Congratulations to all you 1/4 mile Hambers...;)

thanks! I'm surprised they included almost all of my talking in the video....I would have edited it down to about a minute and a half :)

Anyways, I'm taking the car to it's first car show today. We'll see how that goes. And it's gonna rain, in the late morning.

Great video and narration; no need to have been shorter, you done good! Vid shows the car way better than the pics did..Am I seeing a bolt together upper roll cage tube at the firewall or is that a flange to support the firewall?

  9. No worries there. It's a proven car in the rain from drag week. Have fun.

Sorry for that. We didn't get to go to the mini bike show because it had come thru us first.

It's been what, maybe a month since drag week. Is there a hood done yet?

It was awesome watching this build, better than a TV show. Great fun to log in pretty much every day and see the progress. My son was thrilled to meet you and wants your shop. It made it even more exciting to watch the Drag Week coverage having touched the car he was seeing on TV. Needless to say, the Long house was pulling for you.

Now I want to log on and see the fiberglass fenders, hood, and induction fabrication progress, because I'm greedy and spoiled! Well done and thank you for bringing us along.
Hope the show went well. The Key to the Hills Rod Run was down to about half today because it rained early this morning.

  14. well?????? how was the first car show?

Last time I proposed building a mid-engine blown Hemi powered car, I was told that it never was done, and that wouldn't have been done.

    I guess this is Photoshop.

^^ I got to see that car run (and do a wheelie) at the St. Ignace car show years ago. It's crazy to say the least.

Soooooo, about this time last year, we were all watched as you laid out those outrageous plans for this car. We were blown away as this story to roll out. At points we held our breath waiting for the next installment. We cheered and were amazed as the progress moved forward, post by anxiously awaited post. We got to see the trials and the success, and were thrilled as the car made those 10 second passes, and did the Tour without major issues. Its been a great year!

You left us hanging on for more with your thoughts and ideas, and the indication that more was to come. We can hardly wait to hear and see the progress of the new hood, the glass front end, the injection set up for the strip, and whatever modifications you have decided you want to make to the chassis and other stuff.

We are all collectively hoping you will take us along on the next phase of your journey as you take Almost Funny to the next level. Pretty please? Gene
