Here are some pictures from the Moonshine Festival. This was my first time there and went as a spectator. We had planned a trip to Tennessee the previous week and then went over to Dawsonville, GA for this show.
My wife saw in the Virginia travel guide that there was an auto display curated by Ken Gross at the art museum in Roanoke, so that broke up the 12 hour drive home.
Awesomely awesome Missed the recovery museum when I was in Chattanooga last, will put it on the futures list.
You really know how to take a trip, Thanks to both of you for the great photos. Where are you going next?!
Thanks for the great coverage! That 15 car is NICE! Who's Camaro Funny Car was that behind the Dixie Twister?
Probably my next trip where I can see interesting cars will be to Pomona for the GNRS. Unfortunately, that comes at a busy time for my job, so I can only stay a few days. The funny car was also named Dixie Twister.
The Moonshine Festival is one of the greatest gathering of '38-'40 Fords, '57-'58 Fords and '60-'65 Fords in the country. We drive 700 miles for this show and never get tired of it.
Just like being there Much appreciate your efforts. I really like the race car pics , as my Dad race a 1937 Chevy coupe modified on dirt back in the 60's. Ideally , I want to find a body and make a replica for the street.
