Customs 60’s bucket seats ID

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by theloosecannon707, Oct 30, 2018.

  1. hey,

Anyone have an idea of what these seats came out of from the factory?

They are a set they look to have been reupholstered perhaps.

    Anyone recognize them?

    Thanks

  2. Looks like the typical mid 60s GM seats like Corvair, Tempest, etc.

I agree, mid 60's GM car. Not full size, they had different trim and are wider, and probably not Corvair as few if any Corvairs got the chrome hockey sticks. I would say 64-65 A-body most likely, Skylark, GTO/Tempest, Malibu or Cutlass/F85. The upholstery pattern should be matchable if you do some picture searches for those years/models.

Like the 62 nova seats I had. No seat back release so pre-1967.

56Don was right, '64 Corvair. I thought all the Corvairs had painted side trim but this looks like a dead on match.

  6. Look up the 1964 Malibu, that could be it as well. I got ahold of the seller and he said he thinks Malibu was the original car.
