Just posted mine I refused to chop it because the moldings are chrome from the 60's and so is 90% of the upholstery.

In case anyone was curious, I got the car home this weekend. Here's my treasure... Beginning 10-27-18.jpg

Looks good. Now you have more than dreams to work on this winter. Good luck! Glad you found some photos that you like too.

Thanks. I probably won't do much other than collect parts and plan yet this winter. Like a lot of you, I have numerous 'have to do' projects around the house. As well as an OT ram air Firebird I am currently working on.

    Very nice Coupe you acquired.
I'm curious, of all the picture we posted for you, which ones are the look and style that your aiming for with your Coupe?

I would say a combination of these

The color of the first one is real close to what I'm going for. Wheels and tires, stance similar to the black car. No hood and relatively period looking sbc like the last one. Haven't decided yet if I will have cowl lights(it appears this car did originally). Also, haven't figured out front turn signals for sure. I like the 682? headlights with the signal on top. But since I'm trying to build the car on a budget, I'm not sure if I can justify that expenditure. Actually, I think I can use some small lights off the rear of an early 50's tractor if I can find amber lenses for them.

Someone posted a shot of my coupe already, but here's a couple more. Like with any custom car you need to get the overall stance right to make any style work. I think A's with no chop work well with a healthy channel, sitting fairly low. It takes more than just bolting some staggered tires on and removing the fenders to look "right" to me. Just my humble opinion. Good luck with the project.

Shots of grills would be appreciated too. I would prefer painted versus the chrome shell that is original to the car. I know the obvious choice would be a deuce grill, but they are everywhere.

'50 Pontiac tail lights? That's what I'm thinking for this car. Or, possibly '53? Buick tails may work also.
Also that style header, only painted white. One of my earliest recollections is the record jacket of a '64ish surf album Dad had. Pictured was a custom T with white headers and that has always stuck in my mind.

Regarding grille choices -- this was another A that I used to have -- it had an aftermarket clip-on screen -- really dressed up the stock A grille.

Where did you get those turn signals? They look almost like the rear tractor lights I mentioned.
