It was amazing, all heads up Drag Racing, no sitting behind cars in lawn chairs. 100 plus cars, that guys ran hard, over, and over again. Even rtsideJohnny from the H.A.M.B. was there with his 27 Roadster Pickup, all running on an old air strip......
Yeah pretty ridiculous. I guess if you needed some inspiration for this coming hamb drags you found some!
With their politics and stuff, I would never want to live there, but there sure is lots of cool shit going on in California!
I was there last year but had a 50th birthday party to go to this time. We were all talking about it at the party, showing each other instagram videos and my friend the birthday boy was saddened that his wife scheduled the party for Saturday. Oh well we will all be there next year ready to race!
That's a private airport runway, at as already mentioned, Santa Margarita Ranch. Just do a GoogleMaps.Com search for it. There's also a private railroad around the property. I guess the wine business is really profitable. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Eric Vaughn under his roadster as Jimmy Stevens looks on. Eric drove this car to the ranch...over 200 miles....won his class and drove home. Fast Four banger
Great photos, keep them coming. I wanted to go down and wear my spectator hat but had too many irons in the fire. I may have to put either two more or two less cylinders in my roadster so I can play too.
Had only run it on jackstands Thursday! So not too bad. Car was loose even after dropping tire pressure 20 lbs
