    Well back at home
And got in the garage this morning
    Moved the grandsons go kart[IMG]
    Out to the shed
Moved the 53 dodge nose, doors , running boards , radiator support, front valance, tractor tires and assorted other stuff to the another shed,,,,,while it was snowing
Worked on a door Pannel template
Cut kindling wood for a friend to keep his wood burner and delivered it
Called it quits about 8 or 9 pm
And the wife called about 11:00 to inform me she can’t get in the garage......
Seems a neighbors three fell down blocking it!
So guess what I’m doing tomorrow.............,...,,

I just slid together an offset power brake booster adapter for a 1966-1977 Ford Bronco (upside down), and a 2008 GMC Savanna Van Hydroboost hydraulic brake booster, and an aftermarket mid-1970's Corvette style master cylinder. No mods, no adapters.

Found the source of the horrible banging noise I got last week when I started the engine.

    Time for a lash adjustment.

Got a new set of ribbed aluminum covers I was going to put on this winter. I guess now’s the time.

  7. Welding aluminium with a torch isn't as scary as you thought I'll bet. 40 years ago, I owned a LandRover 4x4, with a torn up body from off road use, and I learned how to use a torch to weld aluminium, and I got pretty good at it. I have even welded stainless with a torch.
I have a TIG for it now, but I know that using a torch is always an option.

  8. A few years ago, I broke the ends off a couple of high end bars, and found that the local auto parts store could order the ends for me. I still have the bar, but use the impact tool whenever possible. The multiple impacts of the impact tool will often loosen nuts or bolts that will break when a breaker bar is used.

Full disclosure, I was carefully removing some bolts from an aluminium block with an impact tool, and the bolts broke. I have enough material available that I can MIG or TIG another nut on and attempt to carefully remove the remainder of the bolt.

  9. Beat out some dents, filed, sanded, sanded some more and more....
then polished some stainless pieces for my "new" Vette hardtop.

  12. Had the Chevy out of it's room to sand drywall and finally paint. Sheetrock was a few years old, it turns brownish. brightened things up a lot. Gotta ward off the winter blues.
It only made sense to take the car out for a little blast through the countryside.
    * Use your Holley secondaries before winter!
Some guys have restraint and ''stay out of it''. The fuel in the secondary bowl could be from early spring or older. You don't want it to go bad in there, so it's time to, uh, exercise those cars!

  13. I thought I was going to pull a very solid subframe out from under a 2nd gen Camaro as per a discussion with the seller yesterday. Somehow in the 12hrs the rotten bastard decided to sell the car to the junkyard even though we agreed on a price and time. Really pissed me off because they are not easy to come by here in the rust belt, he already had the car backed onto a roll deck with no front sheetmetal, so a half dozen bolts and snip the brake lines it would have rolled right onto my trailer. It would've worked great under my 57 pickup, can't stand people that go back on their word.

Not a lot of nice folks here, too expensive I guess... Everyone is trying to make money no matter what.

I went back to my roots and bought a house close to my hometown in Kansas. People there are kind natured and like to hang out. Love it there...

So I will be between San Diego and Kansas over the next couple of decades.

I am breaking ground on my first building. Hopefully tomorrow, I will have the Horse Corral's moved so I can remove the brush.

Same here only between San Diego and Missouri! Visited back there a few months ago and fell in love with the folks. Relocating the shop by the first of the year.

I picked up sone stuff from the sandblaster and have started giving my '57 F100 box the kustom treatment. I plan on using '58 Ford units with little bullets on them. It'll be neat! IMG_20181102_210510_145.jpg IMG_20181102_170005_787.jpg

image.jpg Removed the Hedman block huggers and 2 1/2” pipes from the Cabriolet, and replaced them with stock Chevy rams horns and 2” pipes. My buddy delivered his 4 97’s for me to put on my Man-a-Fre 4x 2 manifold. Pics to come

You will have to learn how to speak differently, Bob. They talk funny in Texas county and surrounding areas.

Either I need to slow the speaking cadence way down, or they need to speed up their hearing? Im sure I can skip a Monster and a Coffee in the morning and fit right in. I’ve already made some great hot rodder friends back there including one of the local lawman. Starting to get anxious now!

    Today,
Bolted on the fenders to the project Model A making it ready for its trailer ride this next week. Getting the F350 ready to pull. Tearing down the steering column in the F350! Broken pin between the ignition switch and ignition lock. Didnt need this today! Oh well.

Cut a section out of the top of my frame rails so I could put some beads inside at the front subframe and closed them back up. Cleaned up my home made spare tire mount, and started doing the math on building a tub for the car. With a little luck I can work it so that, if necessary, someone could sit behind the driver and passenger seats. It will not be comfortable for long rides I'm sure

I fixed a leaky valve cover and went for a 40 mile cruise. Winter can arrive at any time, no sense wasting a decent day... 45385967_725769981142773_2633447631195471872_o.jpg
