Rambler. Well OK, it’s an AMC 360-401, the vertical oil fill tube gives it away.

 

That is an LS Chevy engine. In this case LS stands for Less Studebaker than that guy would like you to think.

 

Close it's described in the caption as a 290.

Can a yblock be considered a small block ? With a 9.75 block deck height that's pushing it.
I wouldnt even consider a 9.50 dh 351 Windsor a true small block.

 

A lot of engines in this thread are being included according to CID. There's more to it than that.

Dont think so. Chevy definitely owns the moniker "small block".

Here's my contribution, it's the smallest block I have......

Probably not but the bbc was called a "rat motor" long before the "r@t rod" was hatched.
