After a trip to the Harbor Freight, now I have three impact guns. Whether the PB Blaster helped, or the new XT gun has more torque than my Kobalt gun, I don’t know, but the hub nut came off. Took some fighting to get the remaining bolts out, but the new hub is in. Did the other side, too.

I have a one car garage, so had to move my 37 down the driveway while working on this. Started it up to move it back in to the garage, and something isn’t right. I got noise like somebody banging on the engine with a hammer. Gets faster and louder with engine RPM. I’m thinking it’s a spun bearing or something like that. Shut it down and pushed it up the driveway and back in to the garage. I’ll have to drop the oil pan this weekend to have a look.

Built a cart to set my '32 body on when we take it off the frame. Can roll it around and get under it to work on the bottom of the floors. Finished it up this morning.

Was trying to run wire for a stereo system in my new winter beater and the pass door would not open, lock motor froze up and went down hill from there. Some how damaged the latch so out it came and got it working and spent too much time on the door to get any of the amp wire ran back to the trunk so maybe again this weekend.

Fixed my enclosed trailer so the service door opens without a fight.:)

Also arranged shipping for my new Rivieras to get to VA from MA.
No firm ship date yet but I'm ready... maybe tomorrow.

Hey think I might have found a home here with this tread ,
My name is Wayne , joined a long time ago , and recently in stalled this app.
Been enjoying it , poking around , but just ran into this one
Always trying to keep my self accountable on my way to many projects ,
So what did I do today?
Nothing , it’s 6 in the morning and I am sitting in Florida passing the time till the wife and I catch a flight back to Maine
Before you call me crazy I should tell you we hate the heat /humidity so we are both anxious to head home
And now the bright side IMG_0322.JPG (ignore the for sale sign )
Winter is my favorite time to work ( late night is the best!)
So I will be posting stuff for sure as I go
I have found that all I have to do is show up , the stuff gets done , but showing up sometimes take more work then the work itself........

Going to throw a load of clothes in the washer and head out to the garage to change the oil in the sunliner for the trip to Florida next month.

Started removing the rear fenders and bed rails, broke my last #3 philips bit.
Removed the rear wheel and took it to have the bead leak fixed, their compressor was being repaired.
I dunno, nothing really got fixed today, took the long way home from the tire shop for the ride.

Good choice! Have a set on my 409. Beware though I had to make adaptors to make them work on the Rochester 2 barrels are the carb horns are too short for the set screws to bite onto. Here’s a pic of the adaptors we fabbed.

Friend made sure his shop's lift was available, Saturday, so we could get a more solid & clean mount-up for "Donna's" lakepipes...Just in time before kids & fams showed up for Old Town businesses' Halloween event... Still working on a frenched sleeve setup for it, but tucks nice into the fender-nook I made for it...
His new idea left behind my fabbed exhaust hanger parts (for the next project)... 20181027_135041.jpeg 20181027_135018.jpeg

Ordered the adapter for the trans for the 48 after I sold the bellhousing off the trans for more than paid for the trans with bellhousing. That at least is an accomplishment in the right direction.

Ones mans trash is another mans treasure. My cousin is building a ‘54 Chevy truck and decided he needed to buy a repop bed, I picked up his old one for a song and it will be perfect for my little bobber truck project

I tried to post a pic but it gave me an error message I’ll try again later

  26. I was supposed to go look at a Camaro subframe for possibly my 57 p/u but it was cold and pissing rain so I went in the garage and started prefabing false walls in preparation for the day I come up with a beam to replace this support wall. 20181017_130934.jpg 20181027_181216.jpg

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I may be doing the same with the back wall in my garage tomorrow. Glulam above the new double hung window and new door. I've had all the trim & siding for years, just need to get it done. Bob DSCF8373.JPG

I was able to find a potential donor to my 33 sedan, and bought it for less than what I offered! IMG_20181027_161641696.jpg IMG_20181027_161631968.jpg IMG_20181027_161621968.jpg

  30. my problem is a 23.5 ft span with no support in the middle, plus only 8.5 ft ceiling height so I can't put in a 20 inch LVL and still be able to jack up a car under it.
