    Do a 3 bar rear suspension....with the 3rd/upper bar going down the driveshaft tunnel.....no need for short bars!

    We have been wrapping up our 40 Merc vert project that we just finished putting a 390 Caddy motor in[​IMG][​IMG]

    We are about to start working on the track nose. I scored a nice roadster dash and a better driver door.

    Rear suspension plans now include 2 short arms going forward, a torque arm off the center forward towards the trans (since it will be open drive) and a panhard bar.

    The Alfa is quite popular with those building repop Watson Indy roadsters when the budget won't allow for an offie.

  9. Speedwrench........thats very interesting info..........and heres me in 1978 thinking that I was the original tight arse as there was no way even then I could afford the real thing and the Alfa was the closest I could find........lol.........thanks...........andyd
