Can you experts tell me if anyone makes a 33/34 style Perch bolt that is long enough to go through a V8-60 tube axle ? Or advice how to make my 34 bolts fit. I can only get about 3 or 4 threads on the bolt to hold the nut. I want a spring over setup with dog bones to a pair of lever shocks using this axle type.

    Thanks.

Aftermarket ones are longer to accept a shock mount , speedway has long ones for like 40.00

Are you using the ‘37 wishbone, split into radius rods? If so I think it might be the dimension from the bottom of the upper countersunk hole to the bottom of the lower countersink. I’m on my phone so I can’t provide a sketch but I think you need a 3” measurement from bottom of top c/s to bottom of lower c/s.
The ‘35 and later wishbones where the perch passes through are thicker and I’m pretty sure that’s why your ‘32-‘34 perches are too short. Spring in front wishbones have the extra thickness to give enough strength for the spring hanger.

  4. You could always mill the axle down to 2" and use a '32 or '33-'34 wishbone.

Fordors you are correct it measures 3" from countersunk hole to countersunk hole. Is there enough meat in the bottom arm to run a reamer in there which would give me enough length then ? Or is it best to find a different year wishbone ?

My little bro had his wishbones beveled deeper to accommodate early perches. There's plenty of meat there if you know a guy with a mill.
