1949 Mercury project VIDEO INSIDE

1949 Mercury, SBC, 200R4 auto, power steering, power disc brakes, tons of parts and $ spent. Nearly rust free car (lower fenders and I think thats it)

A friend was building this before he passed, he was in the autobody business for 50 plus years.

Rust free floors, he installed new inner and outer rockers, correctly. It has a completely rebuilt chassis, every bushing, shocks, etc. All new brakes/lines/hoses. Booster and new master mounted and bled.

NIB shifter for 200R, not one of those goofy rockabilly beer can ones, a tasteful shifter)
54 Ford wheel lips
T bird interior, front and rear, with all trim
Driver quality bumpers and irons
Rebuilt door hinges
Complete set of coupe side trim
Brand new alum radiator
Brand new gas tank
'51 skirts
Radial tires/52 Olds caps
Complete dash plus vintage SW gauges I was installing
Extra doors/tops/lots of extras

Guys I can not stress how nice this car is. Yes you have to finish the coupe conversion, you can get doors on here in Maryland for $500 plus I know of a few sets in Jersey for sale, but I have done this before and it's not that hard. You are way ahead of the ballgame pricewise with this car rather than one that has no drivetrain, stock crappy suspension, brake pedal to the floor....So much has been done. Video is below.

Anyone looking to build a super reliable easy to drive cruiser, this is it! The pics don't do justice how awesome this is of a starting point. New inner/outer rockers and solid floors/trunk is more than any other Mercury near this price has going for it. Holler!
