    That is FANTASTIC!

I was just telling my girlfriend about that place and its presence in my childhood growing up down there. In elementary school, as I remember, every Friday in the winter, the cool thing to do was to go ice skating. I also briefly played hockey there as well as attended numerous gun, RV, boat, antique, and dog shows. I haven't been since they remodeled it but it is certainly a good sized venue and property, congratulations!

I may try to take a spring trip down home to catch this show.

WOW!!! This year past the two best shows on earth were wiped out. Jalopyrama to loss of its space, Jalopy showdown to deluge. I NEED a year with both of them running full blast!!

It's been about 30 years, I don't think my skates will fit.

    Here's some info:

    https://tourtalbot.org/businesses/talbot-county-parks-recreation/
    http://www.talbotparks.org/index.php/facility-rental/community-center
Areial Map of the property (Google Maps)
Here's the Hotels.com listings for the area.

Saint Michaels is down the Rt. 33 as is Tilghman Island for sightseeing, tourism, seafood, and rural Rod Runs.
    http://www.stmichaelsmd.org/
    http://tilghmanisland.com/
and if you break down that end, my cousin's repair shop is right before the bridge, https://www.bridgesautomotive.com/

A run from the Community Center to the tip of Tilghman Island and back would be about 80 to 90 minutes at a leisurely pace. If you want wide open stretches of mostly nothing but farmland, the routes East of 50 are where we did a lot of our shenanigans as teenagers (RT-309/328/331).

Here's a look a the place. The skating rink room is bigger than the pictures show.

Here is one of the other function rooms that gets used for Curling during the winter. I've seen it set up a a dealer's room at a bunch of conventions too:

Lots of familiar cars in those pics Seadog, thanks for posting them. I think it was best in Annapolis, limited number of cars inside and some of the best cars in the country sitting outside, nice and personal.

Since I grew up there, I don't have much experience with that other than knowing the local "murder motel" was bulldozed a few years back ;)

But here are some resources for you guys.
    Easton: http://www.eastonmd.org/ebmasite/accom.htm
    https://www.hotels.com/de1486936/hotels-easton-maryland/
    https://www.airbnb.com/a/Easton--Maryland
I think this is the fanciest place in town but there's also an Econo Lodge on 50: https://tidewaterinn.com/

Ad far as Food goes, Easton has a ton of chains on the highway but has actually developed a bit of a food scene in town that is worth exploring: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurants-g41121-Easton_Talbot_County_Maryland.html

    St. Michaels: http://www.stmichaelsmd.org/
    https://www.hotels.com/de1521340/hotels-st-michaels-maryland

Food: The Crab Claw and Carpenter St are the two spots I suggest in St, Michaels. If you just want Pizza, hit Rusticana or for upscale, Ava's.

I went there years ago to see Sonny Landreth play at the just restored Avalon Theater. Place held maybe 50 people, they had wingback chairs to sit in, alas, no foot stool. I still smile thinking about it.

  25. Me too at Best Western.

  26. Is this a one day event? Or multiple days?
Indoor space for traditional rods, photos get you a registration form. How do we 'outsiders' get a registration form?
    Thanks.

Here are some random shots of mine from the 2017 show. I went the last 3 years in the old location and it was fantastic. There are HAMB thread of mine on all three. The show itself is normally just Saturday, but there have been cruise type events on the Friday before and I think that is what they are doing next year too.
