    Greetings,

Twice in the last week (on two other gearhead websites) I have heard that Richmond will be marketing a new 5-speed OD transmission at a price point of around $1900.

The Richmond website has no mention of any new products. Googling/searching finds nothing. I have directly questioned both sources and have gotten no response, so I am beginning to wonder if its just someone's BS fantasy.

If it is real, and not just a figment of someone's imagination, I'd like to hear the specs - what will it fit, and how much torque/HP will it handle?

    Thanks in advance!

Based on pricing of their other transmissions I'm guessing no.

I learned this weekend that the source of this information was Paul Cangialosi of 5speeds.com. I sent an inquiry to him this morning, and got an immediate answer. He sounded very enthusiastic about the new transmission, although the price point is still a matter of debate.

This would be very, very good news for stabbing a 3-pedal trans in my Nova. We'll have to wait and see what unfolds.

I will be interested as well. I have a rebuilt M21 in the 55 Chevy now. A extra gear would be a advanage cruising the freeways.

  8. I wouldn’t count on the $1900 price being anywhere close to accurate.

I see in the above info made in China, I would bet the price point just jumped with the tariffs in effect now.

I'm staying with my Richmond Super T-10 4 speed, bought it years ago when they were only $1100, still brand new.
    Made in America, pretty sure!

I'd be interested in one for the Caddy build.
