  6. Go to the OTB site . They have all the parts, including pointy lenses.

    Any Guidance (ha) appreciated.

  12. That is not a Guide headlight. That type of headlight was used on off-brand trucks, Mack, Auto-car, and some Mopar trucks. I have several lenses available if you don't find one.

  13. I tried to pull a set off an Autocar a couple months ago, actually. Could not get the bolts to break loose with hand tools. Had forgotten about it but they did look like these.

  14. Seeing you are across the dutch, there is a bloke in Queensland who can reproduce lenses, or give it a go yourself, using a silicon mould (Youtube).

Thanks @nickthebandit I didn’t think they were guide . There is a NOS guide park light lens on ebay at present and it is an original with guide embossed in the lens. Apparently some of the repop lenses do not fit original light housings.
Down under we did not get these lights as far as I know.

  16. Send me a side view picture of your lens as there are 2 very similar, but not the same lenses. Also a side view picture of the tin surround. nick.

  19. I have a Guide headlight with a lens very much the same. Side by side they probably are the same. I would just get two new pointy ones from OTB and call it done.

Are your lights actually Guide? I see no tag. But, I have also had Guide lights with no tags. When dismantled I have found 'Guide' stamped in the metal in the bracket mount area, even under the bracket.

A pair of rusted out lights sold for $10 on Trademe last week. Both lenses looked fine.
    As did their housings.

OTB Gear has reproduced the 682-C headlight assembly, hawk-bill variety (and more recently, the 682-J). And while they look like the original, the parking light retainer is not interchangeable with a vintage original headlight.
