I apologize, I been gone for a while and alot has changed in my life. I moved out of South Central, I grew out my beard and hair(or stopped getting hair cuts and shaving) I bought my 1st house, my wife had our 1st son Eli on 8/18/18 @ 8.8lbs, got laid off and got a call for a better job the same day.

A week after Eli came my wife said "you deserve a new Buick, I'm going to let you get one" funny how they think they have power, I never asked her before hahaha.

Being a Buick man, ( and Olds second) I bought a 63 Buick Lesabre Wagon with Eli in baby seat. Something more family orientated. The car came with most but 2 pieces of chrome rechromed, front & rear windshield, SBB 300/ st400 out side the car, 2 rows of seats. Flat gold paint job that looks like it was done in a garage but at least its better than nothing.

The wagon was 401/dynaflow car. I wanted something bigger to tow, and you know, donuts and peelouts.

I always wanted an Olds 425 powered car, so I bought a Olds 425-4brl/ switch pitch 1966 th400 from offer up for 225$. The seller of the olds parts was a meth head, a well off man but his employee told me he had so much money he just wanted out of his shop. My gain.

Everything just fell in place, thank the Lord.

    Pictures for my hamb-res.

 maybe you could 'edit' the repeat photos ;)......Congratulations on the new son and all the other good events/changes. The Buick wagon looks like a real solid and straight body to work with. Will be looking forward to progress updates....:)

  8. Welcome back too and congrats on the new arrival.

Good looking wagon, factory A/C a plus. One thing, be sure that there is a speedometer fitting on the transmission. In the 1960's Oldsmobile took their speedometer drive to the front wheel for some unknown reason. I got burned once on that, I got a mint TH400 in trade, was going to use it in my '64 Grand Prix when I swapped in the Ram Air III engine until I found out the speedo problem.

  11. Great that life is falling into place !! Funny how it all just kind of happens all at once , eh?

That little one will eat up about 90% of your time and about 100% of your patients...... but you will love every second of it !!!! You’ll laugh , cry , and even think about running away and joining the circus but it’s the best feeling watching them grow up!

Great looking car, I see it lowered with a set of radirs, and the gold paint! Great job. Keep us posted

    Cheers

    Congratulations!
I see you have no door panels. I have a buddy who had a wagon like yours and used 1963 Impala door panels. Good alternative if you can't find Buick door panels.

Looks like a 1966 Olds tranny, check what Shovelheadrider said, they are near impossible to retrofit
the speedo gear if not machined for one.

Good tip big bro, I've been having so much fun blueprinting the direction of the build/direction of this wagon. To me one my favorite thing about project cars.
