When we built my Studebaker RPU I originally wanted that lakes roadster look with just the tank in back, but it just didn’t look right. Sherman Parker added a beautiful pickup box and I added the Studebaker script.

Really love T buckets, my dads was the first proper hot rod that I was allowed to drive.
We started a project for me but gave up on it when I came across my 54 chev. After looking at all these pictures, I think it might be time to pull it out of storage and continue on with it.

  5. A full length bed is tits. Everyone builds one with a shortened bed. When I was a kid in the later '60s I actually used to see the older guys with their older rods with full length beds quite a bit.

Spirit has a 36" bed. Put frame halfway up and use a Mustang tank as the floor.

I am surprise that you don't see any "track style" nose's on the vehicles shown so far. I am saving up parts to build on but it is sometime after the house has been completed.

One thing about T-Buckets I don't like is the gas tank and battery in the same area. Maybe it is just me, but I like to see the battery under the seat (if possible) and the gas tank out back.

I love T buckets. I think we all have our own ideas of what looks right but if your a hot rod guy its hard to deny the appeal of these cars. Big engine, little car.
