Technical What’s up with 1939 Ford Grills?

Yes ,the 38 deluxe and 39 standard are the same front fender.The 38 standard and 38 deluxe are different fenders.The 38 deluxe trim is above the belt line,the 39 standard is below the belt line.

 

I love the '39 DeLuxe, but got stuck with a '40 Deluxe on my '39... I'd swap someone in a heartbeat!

 

I'd trade a 55 Stude grille for your 56.....haha

 

39 deluxe, 40 standard, 41 pickup. I've been told they are the same, then, I've been told they are not. who wants to spill the beans?

 

40 std and pickup the same and are reproduced (none available currently) 39 is different with stainless strips (were never reproduced to my knowledge--strips are) friend has a nice one

 

Love that Deluxe Grill.... Could be a little biased !!!

 

I'm runnin' a '52 grille in my '56... just to complicate things.

 

Noticed the hood but I can't tell the grille....looked like 56 parking lights below the headlight rings.....
