Event Coverage An afternoon at the lake with my 34

It never got up to 50 degrees today but after a week of rain, it was nice to finally see the sun. I had a day off and Mrs Rocky was busy with her stuff so I got the ol 34 out and spent the day driving around, visiting friends and thought it'd be nice to cross the mighty Missouri into Iowa and click some photos of my car at their Lake Manawa. Now, I'm definitely no photographer so bear with my amature attempts.
Left the lake and had dinner with some friends. Was a most excellent day!

It's actually a very nice time of the year for Hotrod Yeehaw...Fall colors...no Buggage...great shots...rumbling and fresh air...just like that Green Acres tune...yeah...

 

I bet you haven’t had a compliment like that for a while. And you weren’t even bent over.

Here I am in unusual bright sunshine also for the next 10 days, in usually dark rainy Pacific NW, my 34 in the garage winterized, with our winterized R.V. parked in front of the door. Don't want to de-winterize either so I'll just enjoy your pic's and whine about mine. BTW, nice 5 window.

Watched the Nebraska game 'till about 2:30 [don't ask] and then jumped in my coupe and visited about everybody I could think of. Burned about 6 gallons of gas before I came home. I'd have stayed out longer but I have a killer cold.
I really like pulling up beside guys at red lights. They do a double take as the car sits there shaking, idling with a big cam. Then going through the gears, driving down the street.
I stopped at a burger joint and there was a couple going in as I was getting in my car. The lady says "Oh honey, look! The doors on that car open wrong!" Cracked me up.
