Your wife really wanted to keep you out of the house! Keep up the good work.

Was that car in Alaska? I'm really surprised that there is not more rust. Around here there would not be anything left. Admire your work ethic, glad you're sharing.

Sold new in Anchorage. Except for the floors and the bottoms of a couple of the pillars it's amazingly rust free.

What would take a metal man/welder 1 hour to do usually takes me 3 to 5. I just fake my way through it.

I just went through this whole thread. Very impressed with it all. I really enjoy the video format. That rotisserie interests me greatly. Is that something you designed and fabbed up? It would be nice to see how it rolls a little closer. I have a 1950 Sedan Delivery that I am working on and would love to be able to roll it like you are doing with your project. Subscribed!!

There's some basic plans on the internet for free. I just used what I could get locally cheap. Steel prices in Alaska are not cheap. I found a hose real that I cut up and used for the ends. Paid $35 for it. http://redwingsteelworksplans.com/category/body-lift-roller-plans/ I just threw together the bottom rollers on casters. Moves quite easily. I'll take some video of the rollers today for you.

Used 220 grit to take the first 3 filler coats back down. 2 more coats and I'll do these with 320.

I had not really noticed how close the Pontiac is to a 55 Chevy until now. Your frame is different with the cross structure in the middle and front suspension. Excellent coverage of your build

Since I went up to Anchorage yesterday to get the wife a set of hearing aids I stopped at Lowe's and bought 3 rolls of window flashing to use as sound deadener. 9"x33' for $17.39 it took 3 rolls.

    Nice work!

I guess(IF you were to do it) when you had the roof cut off, woulda been the time to convert it to a two door?!! I assume they made 2 door 55 ponti's?! Just move the post back some and install longer doors!?
You do exceptional work. You should have NO trouble fabricating that spare tire cover, with your skillz!
