Ive done the search function on here and every other site to no avail. I am looking to get the detailed information on Some GM Steering wheel splines. in particular a 51 Chevy and a 55 Buick spline. My plan is to 3d print a splined bushing to adapt the Buick wheel to my 51 Chevy. Other than, "The Buick is larger" I cant seem to find any details. Thanks!

New one on me as It was my understanding that A GM spline was a GM spline. A simple solution might be to machine down the hub of a junk 51 wheel and bore out the center of the hub of the Buick wheel and press and lock the turned down Chevy piece in place. It could be locked in with a set screw in a tapped hole across the seam where the Chev Center and the Buick hub mate together much like a lot of bearing collars are locked together.

Do you have the steering wheel and the steering shaft? can you measure them? can you count the number of splines? The Chevy should be 3/4" 36 spline.
This might be a good call-out to people "in the know" to get a list going of the different types and sizes of steering wheel mountings, for reference, and links to maybe someone who can make "adapters" if possible.
I believe that's correct. I don't know where the switchover is, buy I have run into this, when customers wanted to mix old and new.
