Is this considered WB? Took the pics recently at a race. Great color.

  6. <----- I'm thinking of using this colour on this car. Can't decide on interior colour tho, my thoughts are oxblood, saddle tan, or dark blue. This thread shows several colour interiors, they all look pretty good. Any thoughts? I don't want to hijack the thread but I think this ties in well.

Hard to say for sure, it does look like it has some red in it, but that could be the lighting. It looks good in any case.

Deep Oxblood or cognac could work well.

Perhaps; but I think that differing lighting conditions and camera settings contribute to the differences in the pix shown in this thread.

As far as the pix in this thread go I believe that this 32 is about the closest to actual Washington Blue that we have. There are lots of others but I just started at the beginning and chose the first one that I believe is a true representation.

I think there are different formulations resulting in slightly different shades. But more than that, the lighting makes a huge difference. Just scroll up and look at that 36, the top pic looks almost black. Another thing that effects the color is the under coat used.

Everybody asks me if it's Washington blue. Maybe a few shades darker. Gary LARRY-1.jpg

Those are my ceramic coated exhaust pipes that pass through the frame and are hooked up to the undercar exhaust.

They’re wrapped in some foam for protection for the paint while I put the body on and get ready to install the lake headers and connect them up.

I’ve seen this car in person and that car is about 3 shades lighter than how it photographs, is that the case with most these colors shown here?, there seems to be lots of difference in what is called Washington blue

Dearborn blue and Jefferson blue are both very dark I believe

It apparently depends greatly on the lighting. As I pointed out before, scroll up and take a look at the 36 roadster above. There are 2 pics, in the top one it almost looks black, in the next one the color is significantly lighter. Same car, same paint, just different lighting or different angle makes a big difference in perceived color.

  29. IMG_2207.JPG IMG_2205.JPG I agree that Washington Blue can look very different in different light. Here is my car in the same location from different directions with the natural light changing through the day.
