Looks like mine from awhile back....

 

First time I've actually seen the Rochester CG-4/4-Jet carburetors being used in place of the WCFB carburetors; they won't fit onto the stock dual quad intakes, but will on the aftermarket ones. Rochester's are probably a little cheaper than WCFB's, although that is changing as they dry up. How well do they work, would be my question?

I tried that on "The glory of the big block" thread with my aluminum 427 small block.
It got the boot.

Chevy nailed it off the line, It's hard to compete with factory offerings for visual appeal.

Motivation for my '55. 'Vette valve covers, camel hump heads, Carter AFB. L-79 cam.

 

those gold merc valve covers are pretty tall for a small block
