With the front two stacks shorter for hood clearance would be my guess

Back in the early sixties I owned a factory stock 1955 Plymouth two door sedan with a 270 CI baby Hemi with three speed manual. The engine had an EX serial number. ( Experimental ) Chrysler tried it but said the engine was too much power for the car so they cut production. Wish I had it now.

 

I hope to accidentally stumble on to one of these someday.... That would be a keeper Plymouth for sure!!!

Lee Smith's Hemi

 

I know where this old race car is sitting. Wasn't for sale last I checked but could be now. It was supposedly built in 1956 and does have a '56 Desoto hemi with Hilborn injection. Push start car but magneto is gone.

 

So, what is a 392 hemi worth in rebuilder form?
