Trans bellhousing for the Nailhead to GM trans here: http://www.transmissionadapters.com/Buick Bellhousing.htm They build really nice parts, I have used them.
I been occupied lately but got back to work a bit on this Tires and rims are for mockup purpose only. Have to get axles for the rear. Also waiting on some other parts.
...very nice work, neat you're buildin the frame from scratch,...don't know bout the 4-bar brackets, but they do look "fast" that way,...lol
Great start! That is a lot of work building a frame in that way. It was enough for me using 2x4 rectangular tube. Just a thought...what's getting better, your welding or your grinding?
Nothing like a turkey dinner! Excellent work so far, I'm impressed with your frame build. Happy Thanksgiving to you.
My 10 yr old daughter could not visualize the car. So I randomly placed the body on frame to give a mind some visions
It worked out great. I got an offer from someone that wanted it badly and i could not refuse. So I sold it and picked up asc rails with that cash
Playing with pedals. Brain is very slow today. Spent all night coaching the wife to squirt the baby out. So killing time waiting for other kids to get home from school to go meet their new sibling
Got the rear pinion angle set Now I have to make the ladder bars. Dropped body back on to see how my shifter for the 4 speed would work and see where my legs would be. Also wanted to check that the rear axle was located where it needs to be before I start making the ladder bars.
The fun part. Getting everything mocked up just right. Couldn't help but notice the angle on the pedal box. Not too late to get it aiming straight ahead.
Yeah right. Don't hand us that crap about your 10 year old daughter couldn't visualize it. Come on, we all know you were in there sitting on a milk crate making engine noises when there wasn't anyone around.
Started with some metal work on the body. I want to sand blast it. Just have to set up a tent to contain the sand
Very cool! Like the way you are "moving-right-along" with your thread. I love "the details" but sometimes I just enjoy somebody showing the "highlights" of the build and skipping all the finite details. Good one!!!!! 6sally6 Needs a FoMoCo engine
