I got there, my phone died, so i took a few videos with my action cam but i can't get it to download the videos to my computer (the app sucks these days) i'll get what i can in there. I went alone (too cold for the family) but i talked to some nice people, had a few beers, and watched racing. It was cool. I also liked that they had a little makeshift show/parking for classic cars on the spectator parking lot, i appreciated that. The track staff is very nice. (haven't been there since the last owner had it)

My brother was running the Prefect Storm... all it has is a windshield. He damn near froze his lug nits off on each pass... had way too much fun anyway

One of our crew, Gary Misko (39 Willys) wore a t-shirt and shorts for most of the weekend.

I agree it was a great weekend, a little cold but still fun. It was the start of my third pass when my truck said it was time for me to get a beer. I was warming my tires up, they were getting stickey and spinning nice, then caught then I stopped going forward. Now I decide, on taking out the Jag rear and go with a dana or stay with the Jag, and build it stronger. Either way it was a good time, and a learning experience.

Thanks for posting all the pics guys!

Had a fun time watching racing, meeting some new people and chatting with others I only see at The Drags....

Tickety....Enjoyed the story about your car, and how it became a racecar!

  18. I was hoping that David could run the King-Braeger against you but he broke the trans also.

  19. Kind of a neat thing happened, after my car broke and it was on the trailer...75ish year old guy stops by with his son (who was about my age) and says he used to own my car. Says he bought it from "the guy" who originally bought it from "the old lady". I knew the car was built at the Janesville GM plant, and now I know it was a Wisconsin car. He had the 327 built by a local stock car guy and did the V8 conversion from it's original 6cyl humble beginnings. I was craving specific details, but the smile on his face and his 10 minute travel down memory lane was more than I could have wished for.

@INLAW MODEL A / I looked under the hood of the "King-Braeger"......I have a bit of work to do.o_O

  28. Well, the two things I heard at the fallout was lots of guys running personal bets ET's and lots of cars breaking. Thankfully the Valiant was in the first category, running 12.15 @ 111 mph. Not bad through the mufflers and with zero tuning.
