1935 ford sedan vin location

Nice 40 like it ... well the front stamp has been replaced and it has different font than middle and rear However all numbers match I look around the area to see if i could see ant more numbers nothing there I due appreciate all your help on this . I will try to register with the DMV in California and see how it goes bill of sale only this otta be fun the person I purchased it from said it had a 35 cabriolet on it if that helps

 

The way I understand it is that the full number including the 18 is used on the front and the middle and rear only used the last seven numbers omitting the 18. Your front number should read 18168xxxx

 

thanks ... I think my math might be rusty when I look at the numbers that would make a 1932 frame and its not that well I don't think so Did they make 32 frames with out the stamp ridge on the bottom ?

 

Omitting the 18, your frame number is right in the middle for a 1935 frame.
1234357 was first frame in 1935.
16899xx is your number.
2207110 is last 1935 frame number.
1935-1940 frames are completely different than 1932-1934.

Thank you the missing 18 throws me off so I keep taking off the 16 ..
