History Grandpas el mirage roadster recreation p.r.c

Damn I wish I had know Iv been to Steve’s and pops now twice in the past few months. I will definitely get ahold of you on the next adventure to the great Pacific Northwest!

 

Dennis it’s power seats,windows,steering,brakes and push button transmission. Even has a reverb radio! Factory numbers matching 383 big boy! Runs good but could use a freshing up. You can’t even feel the trans shift it’s so smooth. It’s good great power for the size of car it is. It’s awesome.

 

Bruce told me he was planning on a really hot V8-60. LOL!

 

Sounds like a great driver....Not sure about the V8-60 though B&S...

 

Those guys are really good people. I am the guy that restored the Olds engine for the Orange Crate.

 

Picked up a nice little 30 banger coupe. She was sitting in a garage in San fagsisco since 1983. Then sold to guy I picked it up from in Monterey. Even took the Wifeyyyy and had a nice dinner. Anyways back to my loony tunes cartoons!

Recently looked at a Nash Metropolitan you painted, you do nice 'paintslinging'!

 

Not bad for spraying it in my driveway.

 

The miller ohv powered banger was no match for the hypersonic special, even as the hypersonic could not get the rear wheels to hook up. The 370b spun the tires the hole race, but had enough horsepower to keep it up on the pipes and the driver did an excellent job controlling the chopped down roadster as it slithered down the dry lake for the win! Second belly tank that thy ol hypersonic out ran! This belly is one badass little rocket! Powered by a v-8:60. The rpm nationals is the raddest event. It’s a racers event! Maybe 200 Spectors most were involved in the cars racing. Just like the dry lake days. Good times!!!

Hey Bruce - great stuff! Glad you're having fun driving, racing and enjoying the Hypersonic. It is cool that we collaborated on it and that it turned out well. Somebody we're going to have to race together!

 

Thank you dale! Yes someday soon we need to race. Your one hell of a mentor!!! Getting ready to build another motor! This time a 26 t motor. Gonna see how many “miniature” horses we can get! Lol we got an all original and original paint 26 t roadster. Amazing car. Will be a ringer!
