This one belonged to the late Julius Engoren. Powered by a 350 with EFI, it was really disgraceful looking, but quite a good road car and reliable as a stove. People constantly tried to buy it from him to "save" it, but he knew what he had -- had it for 40+ years, in fact -- and he wasn't about to part with it. I believe his family has kept it, too.
I picked up my tub on Sunday and moved it to my buddy Keith's garage. He's storing it for me, for the time being. Dual side mount, right hand drive. Originally from Uruguay... And here's one of the restored phaeton's he has for sale. This is a left hand drive, but he has another three in similar condition that are right hand drive...
Here’s the 27 Ford that’s in our garage. I can do interior pics if you want. Has a big block Chevy in it. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Riverdale. It's based on the Archie comic's. Teen drama/suspense show. I'd suggest the tub is a nod to the jalopy Archie drove in the comics. A pretty good host of background cars actually.
Sold my half tub to good friend Gary Trenner today. He’s 84yrs young and still building! He’s a great mentor!
Inadvertently that pickup is the closed cab version of what I'm building. Same idea on the colours, wheels, and some other details. Thanks for sharing those pics and cool to see him using it as a truck!
