Kinda looking for one-have a 62 Vette air cleaner for now. Use a different base to fit carb and vette filter and top

no problem--can give you more specifics if needed--have done 6-7 this way.
Stock 40 column-solid Chevy shaft-Chevy top bearing with horn wire-shift arm drilled for pin which is a grade 8 5/16 bolt cut for engagement-plate is 1/8th steel. Use long stock shift arm slightly bent to clear head and firewall. Works great and horn works with stock horn button.

I'm guessing the 65 Chevelle/409 big car style, the Nova version kind of looks out of place other than in a Nova. I bought a real nice L-79 Nova dual snorkel top section years ago, no base for $200, thought I was nuts at the time, never could find a base (that I could afford) so I sold it a year later for twice what I paid.
They are being reproduced but it just wouldn't be the same as OEM.

A little more progress--pics of battery cover for those who asked. When fender is on the orig mud guard will be trimmed down and attach to battery box. There is also a soft rubber flap at the rear of the inner fender panel to hide the electrics-waiting on radiator and headers so I can fire it!! Supposed to be here this week. Assembled front door garnish molding-this is about my least favorite part of a 40 build! All the fuzzies, vent wing rubbers and all the rivets that must be done wiithout chipping the woodgrain--two people job here--wife helps on these.

Hey olscrounger just out of curiosity is that a FOB operated solenoid battery cut out?
Looks like the controller box for one high and to the right.

    Sheep Dip--it is a maxi-fuse with a cover--solenoid is operated by a hidden switch.

The simplicity of the engine details knocks it out of the park, especially like how you’ve run the heater hoses.

What brand of headers are you using? Like the look under the hood. Thanks,

I like that spare tire cover also. Mine is completely covered and requires removing the cover to check the tire pressure. Someday you will, I hope, share your knowledge of adjusting the hood and front clip properly. Mine is off on the right side.

I like it without the trim rings. It's a Standard, right? No rings.
