Hot Rods Tired of homogenized hotrods

It's a very fitting grille to this Hotrod...especially with the sloping cowl and Duvallish style Windshield.

 

That car is so close to my ideal I could never have thought of it myself. My condolences to Stan Betz family. I learned of him originally in an article in Street Rodder in late 75 or early 76and was overawed by his knowledge and understanding of automotive paint and finishes.

What a beast...an elegant beast...a machine that inspired the streamliners to follow...it was way slicker than most 4 wheeled automobiles of the same period and on sand wow...200+mph. The landscape adding to what must have been unforgettable...to those who were there to witness it.

We are fortunate there is footage capturing the spectacle...of speed...must have been a slow haul to the beach......​
