I don't know who is more excited, me with 49 in a row, or my 6 year old Grandson who missed last year for the first time. Three generations driving down on Tuesday, same HAMB Compound as in past years C4J- 39-42 with Ronnieroadster,ct1932Ford, tb33anda3rd, & malomike next door. Brookville Roadster is on the next row if you need a land marker. Feel free to leave heavy stuff for the day, rest and chat. Bob

Sounds like a great time. Supposedly my '51 Mercury was there for many years in a row when the previous owner owned the car. A man by the name of Kent Boyle from Ohio.

37, I have you beat by one year. 1968 was my first year and haven't missed one since. This will be my big 50. I know it sounds crazy, but I miss the days of walking thru the mud. Newcomers don't have any idea of how it was. It was a lot easier on your feet before it was all blacktop!

I usually do Carlisle, every year since 79 (?), but am heading out to Hershey this time, looking for an interesting steering wheel for my 47 Chevy custom. More likely to find something cool there. Carlisle seems to be more muscle car oriented any more!

Ever wondered what goes through the mind of a 6 year old, one that missed last years Hershey, but made all the others starting before is first birthday? We were in the back yard a few days ago and he asked if any of the stuff was going to Hershey. Just yard stuff, and a few steel cabinets, but there were two '65 Mustang doors. I told him the doors would go to Hershey since they didn't sell there last year. He just looked at me a bit puzzled, and said "Have thought about dropping the price?"

Don't forget tips for the folks who take care of the restrooms and portapotties. And, a water bottle.

DSCF1461.JPG This is what HERSHEY looked like in 1972. Car show was inside the stadium for the Brass Era cars, all the others were in that green field with the baseball diamond. Swap Meet was that brown area with all the vehicles, it is now covered with roller coasters. The airport was still active then and the Hershey Chocolate World was just under construction in the upper left. Bob

I plan on going to Carlisle and Hershey. I'm 90 min frm Carlisle and 1 hour from Hershey. First time for either. Looking for a windshield frame for '39 Ford.
Planning on Thursday for both. Weather may change plans.
