History I found a couple pics of dad's gasser while under construction

    Great story Root! I agree that the old drag cars or race cars from the 50's and 60's didn't have the quality that we see today. I remember working on my truck in the sixties, and the old stick welder and gas cutting torch gave me some fantastic results, ragged cuts, blobs, pieces of iron stuck in to help hold it all together.

    Thanks for sharing these pictures.
    I'll agree it's hard to get young people to understand that 12's back then was fast.
    By the way your dad's truck makes a cool tow vehicle as well.

    I'm jealous of all you guys out there with HOT ROD Dads. you guys need to sit back and think how lucky you are.

    My buddy and his Hotrod Dad was as close as I got to Roothawgs situation and it hit the nail on the head for me...hooked for life...So I consider myself somewhat blessed. Some of the names I heard in his Dads Hotrod stories were mentioned in Roadmates Duke Browns memorial thread just recently posted here. Ratfink we were later to the party but got there. Its cool being connected here.
