Technical Cool odd switches

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by wood remover, Sep 16, 2018.

  1. Picked up some switches today , I thought were cool for a future use , anyone know what they may have been originally used in ?? 20180916_223904.jpg 20180916_223921.jpg 20180916_223927.jpg

    I surmise aircraft.

  4. Patent dated 8-8- 22

  5. i'm not thinking aircraft at all.....most aircraft engines have two magnetos and would have a switch that would have right mag, left mag and off , not just an ON/OFF ignition switch

also a light switch with a separate switch for high beams makes no sense to me for an airplane

i've seen primers on airplanes , but not a choke

    i'm thinking a boat.....or i may be wrong

That ammeter is a “national gauge” same as the Daimler/Chrysler part e48468m with an Auburn face.

Also looks like you’ve got a Dole Valve Co. carb fuel hand pump.

  11. Never ceases to amaze me how quickly this crowd can find the car, parts belong too.
I will see if the switches are needed in tbe Franklin world , before I use them on my 26 roadster build !!!!

Sure show us the rest of the parts after asking.:D Looks like 37kid is the winner, unless someone installed aircraft switches in a Franklin:p.
