    Hey Guys,

That AMT 58 Impala kit was one that we bought at a toy store in Belmont Shore many years ago. I was going to make a copy of my black 1958 Impala from the time I bought it from by brother and until I sold it. Part of my search is to find 1/25 scale Buick Skylark wheels for the 1963-64 verison.

After all of these years, it is still sitting in our garage cabinet waiting for a rainy day with absolutely nothing else to do. But, there is always something to do around our household. So, it sits until called upon. Every once in a while, when I open that cabinet to look for something, that model stares back at me with a quizzical look.

It even has the original clear plastic wrapping around it. It now has a partner in a 1/25 scale 1941 Willys model kit. One day, that too, will be a finished copy of our 1960 build of the 1940 Willys 671 SBC as soon as I get a kit for the twin grilles.

Back when I was making 1/25 scale models, I actually never wanted to completely glue parts together. My brother and I always exchanged various parts for the other’s car builds. That way, we never had the same models and could modify our current builds any time with parts from other kits.

One day, when all of my other projects are finished…then, maybe.

    Nice score Edcodesign!
GMCman52--great stuff, love the cab-forward Impala pickup! Bizarre coincidence that you posted this today; just a couple days ago I started mocking up junk parts to create a Deora-like kustom.
Right now it's sitting on a '56 Ford pickup frame and suspension, and I'm trying to decide if it should be front-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive. Decided I don't care too much, as long as it looks cool!

What did you use for the front transaxle?

Dropped a Studebaker chopped roof on it, then decided it was too low and put the stock roof on. Somewhere in between the two is about right.
Whipped up a doodle of what it could look like, too...

Spex84 that is wild and your off to a great start. That drawing is kool. As for the front axle drive it's the rear trans drive from a modern Corvette convert to FWD

Now you have me wanting to model the W.P. Snyder, with a string of barges at Philo Lock 9, on the Muskingum, with a diorama of the power plant.
