    Black 40 standards are the standard. And Dan Henke's is one of the best true traditional machines I have seen. I could cry along with you on this one, Gonzo!

  9. When I have sold vehicles on Craigslist, that is always one of the bullet points of the "features". Who can resist buying something that the chicks dig? ;-)

    I'm pretty fond of that sedan, too.

    Do you know if he had to recess the firewall to fit that motor in there? I'm assuming he's running the original early Ford drive line behind it.

    It didn’t look like it, he’s running a Cad/Lasalle trans shifter on the column behind it

  17. No, the fire wall is not recessed. This car has had an Olds since 1956.
    Dan changed it to Cad/Lasalle transmission about two years ago.

    Yep, that's my 40, I bought it bone-stock in 94' and drove it that way for about 5 yrs ,redid it in 99 ' P1000711 (800x600).jpg P1010781 (Custom).JPG here's some more pics... Thank You! 40 drv 2.JPG

    Hey, Thanks a lot for the nice compliments. when you have a vehicle for a while, you sometimes think things need to be changed or dressed up..I think I'll leave my sedan as is.

    I bought this car in 1962 for $125. it still has the original factory paint, that's my Son under the hood....
