As a little inspiration for what you can do with your tag.
I couldn’t use it for the top of my plate so I found a spot on the rear bottom corner of my RPU ‘s bed.

Fabbed a couple of toppers for each side of the H.A.M.B. topper out of 3/16 aluminum, had polished both to a mirror. Didn’t like the result so hit them with Scott bright. Hope to make something better as these are not the best[IMG].

  10. Got mine...... filled with jewel like color. :)
I haven't figured out what the secret message is on the tab/tang near the top.?? I also notice numbers cast or stamped on the back side, ie: 12 and 19. DSCN0276.JPG

  11. The message on the front is 'O'Brien' as they were produced by O'Brien Truckers.

Gotta be color coordinated!! Looks darker but came out of the same can, trust me! IMG_2217[2919].jpg

  13. HRP, What did you cut it off with??? Dremmel, a cut off tool, hacksaw ??? It has to be a clean cut to glue back on with JB weld... 39906004_10156423375792435_4796261739756781568_o.jpg

  14. I clamped mine to the bench and made the cut with a hack saw. Cleaned everything up on grinder and hand file. JB Weld and install.

  15. New mount tab from aluminum sheet makes for a larger glue area like this:

  17. It would be killer if Ryan offered a hanging option like this HAMBER made, IMHO...sometimes they just look better on the bottom, IMHO

  18. It's not a tag topper. Can't call it a bottomer.
    It's a tag hanger.

The same color can look different on aluminum versus steel. :D Yours is just different enough it stands out and still ties in.

I've repainted mine twice now, red fades in months here, (hot summers)
I'll do it again, and put it on the tub.
Talented wife is going to do my new one for the F100 this time, bet it comes out perfect. Grrrrr....
No! I meant, "Thank you, Honey..."

  21. Thanks, Phil... Did it just like you did before I saw your post... Just thought about it for a minute and it's the only logical and clean way to do it... Came out beautiful... 1st time I've used JB-weld and it seems like pretty good stuff, now I've got another tool in my box... thanks, man...

  25. The pile-o-parts 32 sedan proudly wears one. It's the nicest part on it.
