We will keep an eye out for you. We are already here so we know we made it....had to drive the bus using the engine temp instead of the speedometer....steep hills. Travel safely

I hope you decide to come along that way. Once we get to Estes Park we are only about 80 miles from home. There are a couple of friends from Cheyenne headed home that way with us. I think this Sunday run is becoming more popular because people are enjoying the drives through the mountains. Honestly I have almost as much fun on the reliability run as the hill climb.

Well said Binger, the reliability run is a ton of fun and the scenery is hard to beat. The wife and I took her 29 up to Central City yesterday for a test run up the hill. The aspens are just starting to turn. As for the hill, I had forgotten what a toll the altitude takes on power....the little V8 60 had a tough go, especially at the start. But Mary did great and made it all the way, in 1st gear. Look forward to seeing you there.

The wife and I are heading up from Texas thurs. We are so excited! We are coming this year to spectate with hopes of taking the banger next year.As spectators can we park anywhere close to the action Fri and Sat?We are close to the eighth decade so we don't want to walk 1-2 miles.Thank you so much Nick and gang for putting on a great show.Dirt drags are also planned for next year.We are staying in Georgetown.

Probably park at a casino and ride a shuttle. Downtown is going to be full though there is some street parking. Come say HI

Castle Rock is 30 minutes from Denver depending on traffic. Look more along Denver/Lakewood/golden. Theres (was at least) a super 8 in the vicinity of Colfax and I-70, that would have you on a straight shot to the hill climb from there. Also look at Idaho springs an Georgetown area

I just took a test drive to Central City. Checked out the KOA as I will park my little canned ham there for two nights. Everything is clean & green, weather is looking great, this weekend will be a hoot.

Thanks to everyone for their opinions and advise on the lodging. We have a room at Idaho Springs. We should be at the reliability run sign in Friday morning if the old car makes it across Kansas.

I'm from the midwest----What is the criteria as to who can run? Around here the Newport Hillclimb is the only venue and the amount of modified cars is really limited by strict rules. Bill

    Bill,
This is all exhibition runs. Everything supposed to be pre 53 and no overhead valve V-8. Everyone should be in lots of bangers some in liners and lots of flathead V8. Later cars I believe till 72 are welcome for the reliability run and the car show on Main Street. I'll see if I can figure out how to copy a link to their website. Hope that helps you understand.
