  2. FANTASTIC. Good luck tomorrow . I suppose the plan is to get a clean pass early, do the switch over, pack up and hit the road for the next track?

  3. Everything we need to make the change over is in a pile sitting next to the trailer. The trailer is organized and ready. I gapped 40 plugs during the rain storm. It's all about time management.

  6. Great first half of the track. Hooked hard and went straight. About 700 feet the big 20 gallon pump caught up to the engine. When that happens it goes rich. It feels like a rev limiter is on. The jet got changed from 100 to 120. Everything else checks out good. We are loaded up and ready to head north.

  7. Kinda figured something was up, looked liked it laid over out about half track. Hope you have wipers of RainX or both. Was Squirrels car driving okay and he just played it safe ?

Good to see y'all yesterday. Are they sending you north to a checkpoint? Darlington is due east.

  13. I spoke to roger tonight about the rich issue. With how far it is we migh go for a 140. I started this summer with a 80 nozzle. The new pump puts out more fuel than what I'm used to.

We made it to the hotel ok around midnight. I made a half track pass on purpose, it's a new car, still getting used to it.

Love watching all the old iron! S10s and Fairmonts not so much.

Brian's coupe sounds like a lion in a room full of kittens.

  17. In case you have not heard, after racing today you don't have to take the designated route or take pictures to Z-Max. You are allowed to take a direct route to Charlotte due to weather concerns. Figured you might be a tad busy and maybe have not heard about this.

    As Brian Lohnes said...
"This is the Best Worst Idea at Drag Week"

He and Freiberger spoke very highly of the effort

Wish they were up to speed on all Brian has gone through since last years events. They still think it’s a 392.

We are taking the straight drive to Charlotte. Looks like it will get some more serious maintenance at the hotel tonight. Film at eleven.

  23. Some photos from the past few days. We're 50 miles outside of Charlotte and blew a head gasket. Should be fixed tonight. IMG_2332.JPG IMG_2332.JPG IMG_2335.JPG IMG_2336.JPG IMG_2337.JPG IMG_2338.JPG IMG_2339.JPG IMG_2341.JPG

  24. I envy you guys! I can only imagine the stress and work involved but the fun factor must be through the roof!
