    I love the old Chevys.... I just can't stand mice, rats, rodents...

  4. I’ve wanted to build a 57 chevy with a 425 nailhead for years. I had the 425 but no 57 a few years ago.

    Ford did a good job copying bbc heads for those

    I've got a 354 HEMI that will go in the Roadster, just like to look of them and they fit the early 1960's era of the build. Bob

    I got 302 roller in 32 and a 4 BT Cummins in a Power Wagon . I know Power Wagon is a late model but it ain’t Chebby powerwed !

    So far so good. Thanks to my friend Ray Barnes, aka Searbee here on the HAMB, the 500 is in the car and running. It's a full engine compartment for sure. The drive shaft will be ready next week so we should know what we have performance wise in the next week or so. I Plan to post a video of the engine running some time next week.

    Lots of sbc’s in the middle, but in my old age I went back to the Y block. First “built” engine I ever owned.

    55 ‘bird y block
    32 cabrio y block F code
    OT 67 Camaro, LT4. My better half.

    350 SBC in my 32 3W
    396 BBC in my wife’s 31 roadster
    Flathead in my 31 roadster
    From now on, I plan to always use BBC

    Smokey Yunick said an engine didn't know what name was on it. But everyone on this site knows the name of the one in their Jalopy. And why. And I always was of the mind if you build something it's your flavor to choose. 'Cause you have to pay for it, and you have to live with it.
