Throw in some fresh deep fried cheese curds and you're as close to heaven as you're going to get with a meal!

My wife is from your neck of the woods Brian, I've experienced a few of those Wisconsin shindigs in the park, haven't had a good batch of country butcher ribs in a long time.
Be careful out there on the interstate.

  9. I'm loaded and ready to go. My friends at Lucas oil set me up with 20 gallons of oil. It arrived today so I'm good for the week of racing. The nitro pollutes the oil. So much fuel is injected into the cylinder some gets past the rings. The drained oil looks like a milk shake. It needs to be changed before we hit the road. Driving around with nitrated oil can cause it to blow up in the pan. We hit the road when I get out of work at 2:30. We want to make it to Indy or further. Chicago traffic and I-65 have a big influence on things.

    Brian,
Hopefully you are riding and getting some rest. Just curious as to what the other ingredient(s) are in the fuel mix. Watched the multi part YouTube on the Surfers. Tom Jobe found that Toluene was the best thing to cut the Nitro with in the '60's. Does that still hold true today?

Will be watching and cheering from Michigan!

  20. The other part is methanol. The toluene causes cancer big time. Because of the severe health risks no one uses it any more.
It looks like the weather could play a part in the race. The hurricane could cause problems depending on its path. We made it to Indy. Time to stop for some steak and shake.

Are the slicks new since the 41 mishap or did you get the roll out redone?

I went to Pete & Jakes today and Jason showed me your front axle from the wreck. That's one messed up axle. It shows the strength and quality of their parts. Safe racing to you!

  26. The slicks are good. The meltdown burnouts cured them.

  28. Mh does offer a 12.5 inch wide tire. I will get them next time I buy tires. That will give me 1.5 inches extra width.

I should have been more proactive. You passed within a mile of the Hog Mountain Garage. We'd have have put you up and fed you. My fault.
