You probably figured by now, that I like The Rolling Bone's built hot rods.

I used this roadster a while back one a Hot Rod magazine cover. Here it is again in a different setting and title.

Here's a cover using an image from one of Robbie's legendary photo shoots.

Saw this image online today and knew it would look good on a cover. Although I did play with it a bit.

Geoff, years ago I was given a photo of the Yellow A roadster.

It's one of those cars that sticks in your mind.

For the life of me I cannot remember who built is, and for that matter, what happened to it over the years.

Anyone got any details on this car? Was it Hodgey who built it? Where is it now?

Yes Mark, Hodgey built this, I saw it first time at the Great Aussie Rod run in SA in very early 90’s first time I met hodgey was that run. Remember him driving this roadster into the event it really was a stunning roadster. Meant allot to me and my hot rod development, was one of the first true flathead early yankie style builds IMO. I believe it sold into Adelaide to the same owner that bought the pink T Bucket also from Ballarat that ran a flathead with a 4 carb manifold

ECCEBE3E-5409-4BD3-85B0-6D2EDBAD4185.jpeg I’m thinkimg of running full fenders but the rear will be totally different in that I won’t use a tank cover plate as i’m not running a stock tank and have kicked up my rear frame horns to show the champ q.c I’m thinking the rear guards will get the treatment similar to the red coupe above whodack immortalised on a front cover

The 5W on this cover isn't as slick as the one on the last cover I showed. But to me it is just as neat.

Found this image of an early A sport coupe on the HAMB today. I had a play with it and thought it would make a good companion on a cover with Peter Vansittart's improved A sport coupe.

This 3W turned up on a trailer on Facebook this morning. So I unloaded it and put it on a cover. As well as messing with the wheel sizes and lowering it.

I don't do many Rod Action covers, but I really like the feel of this one.

    Thankyou for the encouragement Woodbutcher.
Here is one featuring Brian Bass' '32 roadster. This cover has a real good feel about it. I reckon.

I did a cover featuring a plane and a hot rod quite a while back.
Here is another. This one has quite a lot of irony about it. As the late Jim Ewing, the then owner of the Superbell coupe used in this image, was a pilot and later was to die in a plane crash.

Here's one Tom will be interested in, as the purple 3W features a rear fender treatment he is contemplating for his Aussie 5W.

I came across this shot of the Buckaroo Motel sign and immediately knew what I would do with it.
