Joe Lunati and the Colmann & Taylor car. I think this is an early picture certainly around 64 with that Impala there. The car looks a little rough,

Sadler is a Canadian fellow who had help building his cars from Canadian Supermodified legend Doug Duncan (RIP)

    Great pictures. Thanks.

Does anyone remember the "Wayne Bolt” Veritas RS Dragster / "Ottman Engineering" from the mid-1960's?

I just HAVE TO make mention of the race#, as it's synonymous with a book keeping code that we used at Santa Cruz Mazda/BMW in the '70s.
On the spreadsheet that the bean counters used, the different 'accounts' were coded by quick reference numbers.
61 series numbers were warranty claims, and other sequential numbers followed, for everything from shop supplies to hardware.
67c was the 'last ditch', the 'catch-all', the loser-of-losers. the 'write-off'.
A shop job that lost money, or resulted in one that couldn't be charged for, such as a 'warranty?'...that wasn't covered. "Charge it to 67c."
Just one of those 'numbers' that you never forget.

Is that bluish-greenish w/orange (sorry, I'm a bit color blind) sports-racer in the back corner a "Bobsy" by any chance?

  17. Man, getting that Hemi out of that car after it's completed would be nearly impossible.

Sam Parriott's second Kurtis, I think they were called Aguilla; Fenders were removable to make a rather slab sided open wheel car.

The body is an Almquist Sabre. Same body as the attached picture, which is a vintage road racer with a V8-60 engine. Almquist also made flathead speed equipment.

This is an Edwards R-26, built in 1949, powered by a V8-60 built by Eddy Meyer. May have had Hemi heads (Ardun?), I'm not sure. Around 1952 to 1954, Edwards built maybe half a dozen sports cars more suitable for road use, based initially on Henry J chassis, with various large V-8s (Chrysler, Olds, Cadillac). The road cars were quite handsome, were called Edwards Americas.
