This black-and-white photo from 1955 depicts Stu Hilborn (RIP) with a GMC blower and a two-port injector in what appears to be the Kurtis Kraft shop in Glendale, California, as photographed by Eric Rickman while covering the Indy race cars being built there. The more recent photo, courtesy of Hilborn Fuel Injection, is of Stu in 2007.

Looks like one of Tom Beattys' pruned blower cases.

I think saltflats you are right! I think it fits an XK6 from what I can find. And I may have the exhaust manifold also, Thanks, Gary

When I was at Dode Martin's shop several years ago he pointed to this two port Hilborn Injector hanging in his shop and told me it was the second one Hilborn made. IMG_1932.JPG IMG_1933.JPG

When Dode Martin and Jim Nelson built their first chrysler powered Dragmaster Dart Dragster they used a 383 dart block and a 413 wedge crankshaft making 425 cubic inches. Dode told me they also used the 413 Ram Charger Heads. Weiand didn't make a blower manifold that would fit this setup so they modified their 383 Typhoon blower manifolds by cutting 1 inch out of the center to narrow it to fit the 413 heads. Dode told me Weiand made him two of these manifolds and this one in the picture was the one he still had sitting on a dusty shelf with other cool old racing items. If you look you can see the heliarc weld down the center. Here's the car it was made for blasting down the track. IMG_2037.JPG dart.jpg

Double blown Olds above "Hot Beef Special" was a Todd Rawleigh's innovation. Sold motor in 57 or so
claiming 750 Hp on alcohol. Went to Chryslers thereafter.
