  1. It´s not impossible to make something like this work, but wow....you'd be doing a lot of cutting....

James D: that was another thing I've said. It will be a lot of cutting anyway you look at it, so why not try and make it something that looks factory...

I think what James D is saying that by the time you make it look right you're right back to original. So put away the torch and go buy one.

For sure. The guy (not me, lol) wanted to create a clown car originally, and I said more or less the same - if you were to take out the cutting disks, you might as well create something useful and not stupid looking. My idea was to simply convert to a 2 door post but he does not want "just another Thunderbolt replica" hence my original request. Oh: I think what James created is not a factory two door post if you look closely...

You're right! For some reason I was reading it top to bottom. I was so blinded by the shortened version I couldn't see straight.

Here's another idea if you don't mind a little metal work.

Just out of curiosity can one of you guys show me what this would look like slammed to the ground? This one won't be touched but I'm really hoping to get another one and doing some cool stuff to it. IMG_4812.JPG

Thank you! Haven't had it out all summer. It's just been a super busy summer with family stuff. Would like to paint it this year and that's the color combo it was born with... Regal Turquoise/India Ivory.

Moose, can we do a little brighter white on the top and side trim inserts? Or, take the pic I attached, since it's better quality, lower it, and add the 5-spokes. Would probably give us a better pic. Thanks again!!

Burgundy is also a good place to go, from red, if you decide not to go back to original, if you like:cool:

  26. It's a good looking color, my buddy painted his wagon a similar color, same color as all his race cars gets.

Would one of you fine guys do a photoshop of my new roadster with red wheels, same color as the body. If anybody has the time you could remove the model as well...

    Thanks!

That's great! Thank you very much. The seat you created is actually pretty close to what's actually in the car, and thanks for picking up the red on the inside of the wheel. Nice detail. The car was used in some kind of portfolio photo shoot by the previous owner, but I think the car looks a lot better without the chick. Thanks again!
