    Very interesting to look at the speeds of these cars back in 1955.

    Not much room for text in those articles. The IH pickup in the Pocatello segment ran a big OHV Lincoln ...

    I saw that "title" photo of this thread, and thought "Arlington Drag Strip", then I looked at the trees, and it had to be Deer Park,.Washington State. The trees are much taller this side of the Cascade Mountain Range. Wish I'd been born in that generation! I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

    Great display of photos and maps showing the routes and the dodge wagon and trailer at the NHRA museum.
