I'm interested in learning more about the engine with the scatter shield on the dolly.

^^^^^Actually, they're NOT "Power Pack Heads", but rather early, dual quad and FI heads, and only used for a couple of years; the rare 997 casting number head. They were first used on the 1956, dual quad, midyear-on, 245 HP 265's, and then on 1958, FI Passenger Cars (bet there were a lot of those made!). Chambers are supposed to be the same as 57, 270 HP, 283 Power Pack heads, but the ports are slightly different. Confused? I think that's all correct. The first Positraction third member I ever bought was from a guy with a basket case 1956 Corvette; he had all the parts to put it back together pretty much stock. He turned the car into a real street abortion of a car, a Pseudo-Gasser, when he could have restored it and had a $$$$$ car. He also had some of these heads with a funny casting mark I had't personally seen before; a rectangle with two towers standing on end (???). When I went back a week or so later, after I found out exactly what they were, he'd tossed them into the trunk of a car he sent to the scrappers!!!!! Had another guy tell me they were also found on some trucks; did't quite believe that one. That engine with the hydroformed scattershielf does have Vette valve covers, looks like it might have a single quad intake (painted orange, and who paints an aluminum dual quad intake?), but has the wrong distributor; the distributor is cast iron, but it has the notches for a window style cap, wrong for 1956. Deuces, I like that 40ish Willys, Sedan Delivery; is it mounted on "some other" frame, the wheels/tires don't quite fit the wheel wells?

  5. Thanks for the info. I got every thing unloaded and put away, then left for Colorado. I haven't had a chance to check every thing out.

  13. Kind of-sort of a S/D. Its a 39 Packard Hearse that has been chopped, shortened etc. Not sure what I'm going to do with it but I had to have it. IMG_2680.JPG IMG_2681.JPG IMG_2679.JPG

  18. Only pic I can find of my brothers 1936 Chev Panel Delivery, this was taken around 1974/75, it was the delivery van for the Sydney Sinclair Oil wholesaler, note the Dino on the side with "Mellowed 80 Million Years" below it and an R Crumb "Keep on Truckin" on the tailgate.........this went to the 75 Oz Nats with those 16 rear wheels and some 13" ones on the front, a triple Tattersfield intake with 3 Holden Strombergs and a set of modified to fit Holden grey extractors........otherwise stock it was a slow trip but with a 4 or 5:1 stock diff quick to 20mph..........lol...........ah to be young & silly again.........andyd
