"I'm curious as to what that thing beside it is."

It was curious itself. I thought it kinda a time machine. Started out one year and finished in another decade (or something). Perhaps someone will post on it, most likely not on this thread.

  3. I'm curious too, looked for photos but didn't find anything. Fenders sure look like Studebaker truck.

I'd love to see how the rear suspension is set on this thing. It's a pretty wicked car.

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but ran I across this 1965 AMBR winner while doing some Grand National Roadster Show research. Casper's Ghost by Carl Casper.

  6. Carl Caspers Ghost...I remember seeing that up close and personal at the DC Armory when I was in the 7th grade...about half a century ago.

  7. Think the show also included Roth's Surfite and The Munster Coach. I saw a souvenir program for that very show for sale on EBay recently...but it went for some bucks.

  9. Pair-a-Dice Road, I to went to the DC Armory about the same time as you. I remember seeing the same cars. Do you remember seeing "T" Buckets, and possibly some "A's" that had an aquarium inside the radiator shell with live fish? I remember seeing that, but can't find any pictures. I know I'm not crazy, it happened.

I'm not a big T-Bucket fan but the black one above is an exception. I remember getting the Hot Rod magazine with it on the cover. Funny but I also remember that in that magazine there was a picture of a stock '28-'29 sedan with spare tires hanging on the headlights that someone had driven a long way to some event. Why can I remember this stuff and not the name of the person standing in front of me? o_O
