I haven't heard from Spencer T and the guys from'The South West Speed Shop' for a while. Anyhow I hear a rumor lately that they may have a '34 3W down there and they are doing a number on it. I get to thinking and hoping they haven't secretly dragged The Last Grasp Special down to their shop and are working on it.
So I did a bit of investigating in my capacity as the editor and chief of 'The Magazine Of The Mind Publishing Company' and find out that they are working on a 3W, but is actually the makeover of a salt car they came across.
You got to love a good old hot rod yarn.

Here's another neat one that could have come from the news stand in '53.

I have always liked track nosed roadsters. I really like this T modified.

Thankyou Gary. That's a modern day roadster that I messed with the roof and moved the rear wheels forward a touch. Then turned a color shot into sepia, tinged with black and white. As well as toning the focus down a touch to get that look of a photo from back in the day. Although the style of this roadster would be somewhat radical/cutting edge for back in the day. But I think as a whole this cover really works.

Thanks Pat, I have been well. Been finished work nearly 3 1/2 years now. Another cold winter here where I haven't missed getting up at 5 a.m. to go work.
I am working on a fabrication project here in the garage and went into the cupboard where all my tools from work are stored. I dug them out and they brought back many memories of my working life. All good stuff.
I am glad you are enjoying the covers. As obviously I am with the number of them that I am still doing.
    Take it easy.

I think that roadster is right up there for a channeled hot rod Tom. Great inspiration for mine.
Tman, everyone that knows Robbie has at least one funny story to tell about knowing/hanging out with him.

I get a phone call a while back from Tony. We're going to Sydney, he says.
It seems Spencer T and Jude from 'The South West Speed Shop' have been building a race car, using a '27 T roadster body that Sam had bought for Jude when he was born.
Tony tells me, the thing is, the boys have it entered in the suede show in Sydney and want to put it on the Dago Speed Shop stand. I don't think Charlie knows anything about this.
But the boys have got school. So good old pop has volunteered us to go to Sydney. By the way we're taking your ( that would be my) F100 and borrowing Gary's trailer, he won't mind will he?
Anyhow we were due for a road trip and the bonus is we get to catch up with 'The Dago Speed Shop' crew.
That's my story and I am sticking to it.

Charlie, I wasn't angling for an invitation there.
It was just a yarn I came up with to go with the above cover. I need to keep, Big Daddy Choppit happy. He likes my imaginative ( I know some would may say bizzare) stories.
It is a good cover though, that I did put a lot of time into, especially the floor covering.
I was talking to Tony earlier and he was most impressed that I was wearing shoes for a change instead of thongs/flipflops.

    No worries Charlie.
Sometimes I have to change things up a bit with images to get them all to work together. You'll get used to the steering being on the other side. And Chad won't even notice the numbers missing off the door of his roadster.
Found this great shot of the Arrowsmith coupe recently. I played with it a bit and used it on this new/old cover.

Great covers keep coming Geoff, I did notice the numbers gone haha. They were only done with water colours for that reason. You and Tony snuck in with that roadster at the last minute, great show!

Yeah Chad, I only hosed the numbers off anyhow..
Tony and I work under the cover of smoke and mirrors. We just breezed in and out again without anyone one noticing.
We just need to find where we left that T roadster. Charlie, it's not in your garage now by any chance.
