Here is a shot of my 51 Merc project. I got it back in December after it sat for 30 years

I've come to the conclusion that 99.999% of all '49,'50 and '51 Merc's have been turned into Kustoms... Thank You Jesus!!

Hard to find a better lookingfender skirt than the 51Merc skirt. Of course I’m % bias, to the Merc’s. Jus sayin.

Only thing on the profile that, in my opinion, could be improved is the rear side glass opening. I prefer a rounded rear instead of a point. The guy that chopped my Merc over 25 years ago, used a small section of the door frame nearest the vent window. Flipped it front to back, side to side.

  23. I thought the same thing. I thought it really stood out on an otherwise beautiful car.

This car was on a StrayKatKustoms post, pretty unique and very Kool ! In my old age, liking them long roof cars. 53/54 grafted on a 49-51 ? Merc experts know this car ? School me please

Dave Dolman from Verdon Nebraska. It`s a 55 ford station wagon roof with 52 Merc tail lights. Owner built(close to 15 years ago) and never trailered.

Probably just a typo on Jim's(Stanlow69) part, but the roof is 1957 Ford wagon. ('55 and 56 were like a REALLY good BBQ shack, No Ribs, 'cuz they sold out) The rear lift gate and rear side glass and surrounding metal are 55/56 Ford Ranch Wagon, heavily modified.

I'm not sure on the exact year but I thought the top is off of a 50's Ford wagon. It is something to see in person. She is one of my favorite Mercs.
