Hey y'all. Finally, after a year and a half of searching I scored my '41 Chevy truck, stainless dash trim pieces & clips. Question I have is, is there another piece that goes on the back side of this clip once installed to pull it in tight? Or, do I bend it open like a mouth, or...??? Thanks! Johnny
looks to me like it should be twisted a little bit, to secure it. The pointy ends will end up over the sides of the slot.
Twisting was a notion I had too, but as mentioned seemed hokey... haha. I'll get after it this weekend. Appreciate the replies.
Slight twist works. That is how the factory did it. Sent from my SM-G955U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Thanks guys, worked like the champ. Held the trim in place with painters tape, then turned all the clips 1/4 via pliers. (Pix below of the glove box door)
Update w/pix. Gauge cluster area was a P.I.T.A. Had to hold a mirror under the dash with one hand and fly the pliers with my other, all whilst looking at a backwards image.
